I had flown to Vegas for 6 days from Lansing MI. When I got back and started the car, nothing seemed to be wrong, but the next day the check engine light was on and it was self-accelerating. The engine was revving at 1500 rpm and would accelerate up to 55 mph without me pressing the peddle. When I would apply the brakes, the anti-locks would kick in, fighting the engine and causes skidding, pretty dangerous on a snowy dirt road with deep ditches. I did take it to a mechanic to put it on the computer and there were issues communicating with one of the computers, but the biggest issue was something with the reference voltage being too high causing it to do crazy things. No fix was done because the estimate was too high for my budget and there was no guarantee that it would work. This is a very dangerous situation and I need my car. Please help.
