Verano

  • 38,000 miles
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano equipped with Continental contact tires, size: P235/45R/1894H (na). The contact observed that all four tires were running low on air. The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the cause of the failure was not determined. The front driver's side tire was replaced, but the failure recurred. The local dealer (jeff wyler florence Buick GMC, 1154 burlington pike, florence, ky 41042) stated that the tires were not defective. The VIN was provided. The tire manufacturer was not contacted. The dot number was not available. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

Verano

  • 16,100 miles
Vehicle had 16000 mi., blew a hole 1"X2" out of the inside of the right front tire going about 45 mph, slightly ran off of paving on to gravel, blew when got back on road. When I took it to tire store they noticed a bubble on the driver outside of the tire approximately same size. I have to replace that tire as well. These tires appear excessively prone to " road issues". fortunately I was driving not my wife (her car).

Verano 4-cyl

  • 1,096 miles
Had Continental tire blow out on rear passenger side of 2014 Buick Verano with 1,096 miles. I was driving approximately 20 mph in the city. I had to pull off the road and wait for roadside assistance to install service tire and then took in next day for replacement at my costs. $225 for one tire and low mileage. Was told this is common with the Continental tires. Feel it is a safety issue considering I was told by several people, these tires do this if they hit a pot hole, a curb or any type of bump. Also was told I could buy a tire warranty. Sorry but I'm over 50 and never heard that I could buy tire insurance because the product has a reputation for what happened. I feel ripped off and not told about the problems when I got the Buick Verano. I don't have $225 everytime I hit a pot hole which I didn't even hit!
