The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. After approximately thirty minutes of driving, the vehicle was parked and the rear window suddenly shattered. The contact noticed a round burned spot in one of the rear window defrost filaments. The vehicle was driven to the dealer (lou fusz Buick/GMC in saint louis, Missouri) where it was diagnosed that the rear defrost shorted out and the window needed replacement. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
