February 14, 2020 is just the last date it has happened on. It's happened approximately 30 times. For the past two years if you don't just ease on the gas the reduced engine light and traction control light comes on and the car will not go over 5 M.P.H. I have read several hundred articles online on different websites with people describing the exact same thing. It almost got me hit on the Ms. River bridge the other day. If U have to go up any type of incline it does it also. I was accelerating slowly as I possibly could going up the small incline on the bridge that connects Louisiana and Mississippi. All of a sudden the reduced engine power light came on and I could not get out of traffic that was doing approximately 55 M.P.H. and my two year old grandson was in the backseat. The only way to fix it temporarily is to get off the bridge because there is no where to pull to the side of the bridge. You have to kill the car for a few seconds and recrank it. I've had mechanics look at it and I've had it hooked to the computer at O'reillys. No one can tell me anything. But if it weren't a safety recall why would almost 1,000 vehicles that I know of be doing the same thing. You can google it and see that I'm telling the truth. Lots of these cars have the identical problem. I'm currently looking for a newer model between 2014-2018, but I'm afraid of having the same or a similar problem. This is definitely a recall. But it seems to me that you all do not want to do any recalls on these Cadillac. I've been to lots and lots of websites and I have not found anyone who's been able to figure out the problem. Even the ones that have had it put in the dealership have still yet to figure out the problem. It has to be electrical or one or more sensors malfunctioning. Thank you for your time.

My car has been in the shop due to engine issues, now that engine is replaced I'm seeing stabilitrak, service ac, and brake assist lights appear. Also when driving the speedometer is not engaged and car won't shift gears. Codes will not appear when hooked up to diagnostic reader and their is moisture that gets inside my car through the sunroof.

The contact owns a 2008 Cadillac Cts. While driving various speeds, the stability system warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle failed to stop immediately when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to Cadillac of arlington (located at 2001 N collins St. Arlington, tx 76011, 877-880-5178) where it was diagnosed as needing new tires and brakes. The contact stated that all four tires and brakes were replaced, but the issue persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times for the same failures, but they failures could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.

Randomly when I go to start my vehicle it won't start but the battery is good, which leaves me stranded....and also randomly while driving the traction control lights up saying traction control off along with every light in the dash displayed and making the chiming sound.it reduces the engine power suddenly while at a high speed causing me to swerve in freeway traffic.

I was driving in a parking garage so my speed was about 5-10mph when the whole system shut down. The car stopped moving and all of the system warnings popped off (ABS, stabiltrack, engine). The car would not turn back on. I had it towed to the shop where I was told that it was an electrical problem. The PCM was replaced and I was told that the problem was fixed. Cost was approx $200. After the original system shut down, I was driving on an exit ramp to the interstate when once again the whole system shut down. All of the system warnings popped up and the car would not turn back on. The car was towed once again to the dealership where I was told that it wasn't the PCM and that they would have to charge me $265 to investigate the problem. The problem was said to be the electrical wiring on the drivers side from the front of the car to the back of the car. It was fixed for approx $800. Each of the system shut downs happened within 6 months of each other while operating the vehicle. This is very dangerous and makes me feel very unsafe about operating the vehicle. This needs to be investigated for the safety of drivers.

On the morning of December 27, 2011 the stability trac system light came on indicating that it had failed. The car did not react properly and the steering wheel was uncontrollable leading to an accident. The car did a 360 and hit a guard rail. The stabilitrac was repaired just a month prior at a Cadillac dealership, but still operated incorrectly. This incident put my life at danger and has caused me to believe that the stabilitrac system was not fixed properly at all. A certified mechanic has taken a look at the car and confirmed that the stabilitrac system was dysfunctional. At this point, I don't feel comfortable driving the car, even after it's repaired. My business consists of me driving frequently and I fear that if I continue to drive the vehicle there is a possibility that the results could be worse if the system fails again.
