The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Dts. Whether the vehicle was traveling at various speeds or parked, oil leaked from the undercarriage. The contact stated that a quart of oil had to be added every ten miles. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 167,389.

There was a presence of a constant intermittent fluid leak. The dealer (medina auto mall 3205 medina rd, medina, oh 44256 (877) 424-0881) was notified and inspected the vehicle, but did not provide a specific diagnosis. The vehicle was also inspected by an independent mechanic. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V553000 (electrical system). The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Dts. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle began to overheat and the low engine power warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact depressed the brakes and the vehicle failed to stop. The contact mentioned the emergency brakes had to be utilized in order to stop the vehicle. In addition, the air conditioner and the radio would power off independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician advised the contact that the water pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance due to the vehicle not being included in any recalls. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 22,000.
