Started burning oil at 58,000. Dealer replaced pistons and charged me $6376. Called mfg. To complain about cost. They immediately refunded 50% of bill. Was there a recall" am I still paying more than I should" the 50% refund came too easy. I talked to a stranger at a car wash, with an identical car, who had the exact same problem! his was still under warranty.

2000 Cadillac Deville North star with 50 thousand miles....uses oil and has since 30 thousand miles... cates motor company of madisonville, Kentucky says that using oil is normal for the North star engine. Using oil is not normal! I have never owned anything but Cadillac and they didn't use oil until 100+thousand miles. My 88 Cadillac sedan Deville-gold executive has 203,000 miles and uses a quart every 3,000 miles! a 2000 Cadillac Deville with a North star engine should not be using oil... using oil is not normal. Why is cates motor company of madisonville, ky. Telling me it is normal" why aren't they prepared to fix the problem of using oil in a $50,000 C-A-D-I-L-L-A-C owned by a life time patriot" my Cadillac's id # [xxx]. I have called Cadillac... left message with automated service... no response. I have E-mailed Cadillac with no response. I have repeatedly ask cates motor company to have a Cadillac representative contact me... no response. Want to speak with a real live Cadillac representative.
