DeVille DHS 4.6L

This Cadillac has given us problem since purchase (2004) used with 27K miles. Near every component has been replaced: window regulators (multiple times), transmission, internal airduck motors, seat heater, rear shade, radio, starter, Cat converter, burning of oil, electrical (computer), and now a new engine. The dealer stated that they don't fix head gasket issues, they will replace the engine. est $12,000. GM continue to make these side mounted engines that can only be remove from the under side of the car. This makes it very difficult to do major repairs yourself. I am NOT pleased with Cadillac's engineering. My 2009 is has major problem already, cruse radar, lane chang indicator, left rear door handle, and sub-woofer are waiting parts for repair. I purchased the 2009 to verify if the 2001 was a lemon or GM had sustymic manufacture issues. The later is proving to be true. My next purchase will NOT be a Cadillac. This engine replacement (Est $12,000) for 9 year old car, has really helped me make this decision.
