This vehicle was purchased by me on 2006. When I brought the car, you can tell there had been a fire. When I received the recall last year, it appeared that the fire occurred from the engine fuel rail. I am unsure if the previous owner had it checked out. If by any chance the engine fuel rail has not been replaced and the cause of the fire was in fact from the fuel rail, it is possible to have all other components fixed that was affected by the fire?

Two day after dealer had perform a recall letter NHTSA #04V11000, while driving at 25 mph, the vehicle caught on fire: Some passenger vehicles equipped with 4.0L V8 engines have a condition in which the nylon tubing used in the fuel rail construction may degrade and crack. Additionally, the 1995 model year uses a unique underhood fuel return line that may crack. Cracking of the fuel rail or return line tubing can result in a fuel leak into the engine compartment.
