Takata recall I have a Cadillac Srx 2006 with very low mileage and there is definitely an issue with the timing chain setup as well as the vehicles head lighting errors, from my research this is definitely a fault from the company design and could have caused injury or even death

Check engine light for replacement of timing chains, sprockets, actuators, guides, tensioner all major engines parts needing replacement on a Cadillac well cared for at barely 100K. Contacted GM, gave run around for weeks and deny the fact that there is premature engine wearing issues w no compensation on these 40K cars, they created an extended warranty for the same issues on same engines in different yr model cars and same exact model as well. Very poor customer service.

There is a P008 code that onstar detected and said I may have engine problems. This would enable the car to have performance issues. I called GM customer service and they want me to pay to have another diagnostic test done and does not want to repair my car which I think they should because my car does not have 100,000 miles on it. There should not be engine problems with a car that doesn't even have 100,000 miles yet.

Check engine light was on. A code scan shows a single error code P0008, which indicates an elongation of timing chains. The repair cost is estimated at $1800 level. I bought it as a GM pep car, and since keep a good record of maintenance (oil changes) at the dealer. There is never an accident involved.

My 2006 Cadillac Srx has a very hard start up and engine is very loud was starting. Check engine light is constantly on. Had check engine light checked and return codes are P0008 and P0017. GM knows this is a problem in these vehicles and fails to place a recall out to correct the issue. I buy nothing but Cadillac but I am very upset about this issue!!!! I think GM really needs to take care of this!!!!!!
