SRX Luxury 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

Bought 2011 "Certified" SRX fron Ed Morse Cadillac here in Tampa Fl. Noticed slight hesitation when slowing down to make a turn and trying to accelerate..waited until vehicle went back to dealer for 90 day checkup and oil change. Had service rep add the hesitation problem to work order. Picked up vehicle that afternoon. All work done including installation of the spare tire kit (cost me $500.00) as this model/year only comes with a can of fix-a-flat and disposal compressor which runs off cigarette lighter.

I asked about the transmission concern and the rep said it met their specs (what ever that is) but GM knows about the problem and has not come up with a fix solution (internet says it's a software problem) and to wait for a recall notice in the mail. He said I could talk to the service mgr (Wendy) but she was dealing with another problem/customer. Told the rep to have Wendy call me...Received voice-mail the next day and returned her call...I left her a voice-mail and waited for a call back....nothing....Next day called her back....left another voice mail...still nothing....been 2 weeks....

Just this morning trying to cross over 3 lanes of traffic the hesitation was about 5 seconds long..almost got creamed. SRX is certified for 38 more months...Starting to look for another non.GM product vehicle to replace this "Cadillac" I don't want to become a statistic for GM to use as a reason for a recall....I have owned Cadillacs before but dependability/quality is lost in this model......
