While traveling service engine light went on and Cadillac dealer was closed. Diagnostic testing said C1 backfire, wasted they never saw this a a car with only 35,000 miles. It costs $789 to replace spark plugs.... add labor costs, testing costs and a few add ons from a mechanic wanting to charge too much because I was 700 miles from home, then light goes back on 200 miles later and had to replace coils for 1 cylinder, because of labor costs was advised to replace all the coils... $1083. Was told they could not understand why I was seeing this problem on a 2015 vehicle with only 35,000.... I heard this numerous times.
Cadillac dealer in this city told me they had no openings to see the car unless I wanted to wait till 2 days later... sure, I was traveling. (kidding, I am paying hotel costs) Cadillac does not care. Did I mention my warranty ended in June... 6 weeks prior to this repair? all out of pocket. get home and my touch screen starts scrambling. Called Cadillac and was told he sees it all the time... the Que needs to be replaced. I asked if there was a recall and he said no. but it was not cheap to repair.... $1400. Shoot me now.... this is all in about a 1 week time frame. Add another $800 because before going on this road trip we got new tires.
Do not buy Cadillac! It is not what it used to be and they do not care.... everything breaks down... after the warranty is up. I am going back to anything but GM..... and I am doing my best to advertise it. This will cost Cadillac more then my $2000+ tab. Don't talk to me about being ripped off, I am on the road with family and no one from Cadillac cared.
