Consumer states while child was fastened in rear seat belt without any indication became tight across child's chest. Child pushed the release button and seat belt retracted. Consumer cut seat belt to get child out.

Front passenger seat belt restraint will lock and pin passenger without notice. Passenger has to release the mechanism and fully retract the belt to get it to release usually while vehicle is in motion.
