Avalanche Z71 V8

I have a 2005 Chevy Avalanche Z71 and about a month ago it start acting crazy. The drivers side would blow hot air and the passenger side cold air. I have replaced the temperature control switch twice which wasn't cheap, I replaced the actuator and it still blows hot air but now it blows hot air on both sides. I have tried everything I can think of and I refuse to take it to my local dealer, they are idiots, instead of them fixing something they would rather you describe the noises your vehicle makes to them. I am sorry but there isn't enough money in this county to make me describe noises to nobody. Does anyone have any clue to what could be causing this issue. I live in Georgia and and we only have 2 season winter and summer and I am severe breathing issues and I need my AC during to work in my truck.
