Avalanche LTZ V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 44,000 miles

The Drivers side door handle broke and the following year the Left Passenger Door handle broke. It would have cost many many hundreds of dollars to have dealer fix it.

I bought a set of 4 handles myself and struggled thru doing the labor myself. Many many hours to get it done...

Why would you design these with metal bolts and PLASTIC nuts! ??? This should now be banned from ALL vehicles they manufacture! Can anyone confirm this with GM?

Avalanche LTZ V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

We are really disgusted with GM. This is the second time in a little over a year our door handle broke. Luckily my husband is mechanically talented. We ordered a replacement. Mind you, you have to remove the whole door panel to fix it. We are retired on a limited budget and he fixed it himself. We LOVE our Avalanche but this is totally BS. Big issues with quality here,
