electric door locks malfunction electric door locks malfunction

This is hardly worth mentioning, but last summer the lock on the passenger front door broke. Eventually the lock fell into the bottom inside part of the door. Since the driver door works, and I don't lock the door that often, it's not much of a problem. I work around the problem by unlocking the driver side, and then reaching across and unlocking. Alternately, I can sit in the driver's side and unlock the door or in the rear seat.

I did some research and the lock needs a special part that only the stealership can special order, of course. So, it's much easier to just put up with the problem than to pay the money. Besides, if it broke once, what's to stop the lock from breaking again after being fixed? Btw, the lock seemed to break when I shut the door normally.

Update from Mar 16, 2015: Note this is a manual lock. No automatic, I don't trust the automatic stuff. An electronic opener would not open the door in this case, since there is no electronic component.

Update from May 5, 2015: The same thing happened on the driver door too now. So both the passenger and driver lock is now broken. If I want to lock the car then unlock I have to break in through the trunk. I'm uploading two pictures. One is of the trunk and how the lock should look. The 2nd is of the empty space where the lock should be.

The only way I can open the door is by hand, the remote control wont open/unlock the door.
