Consumer stated: Brakes were squeaking, seemed like braking distance was twice to three times to stop, sometimes had to push all the way to the floor, could feel brake pedal going back and forth. Also, while driving and whether using brakes or not one could hear a rattle of noise. Dealer said calipers were totally defective. Replaced brake pads and rotors

I purchased a 1999 Chevy 2 door 4X4 Blazer on 1/8/02. I discovered in March of 2002 that the brakes were "fried" everything was burned. The dealership from which I purchased the vehicle replaced the brake pads and rotors, both front and rear. In March of 2003 I had my brakes checked by a Chevrolet dealership. The results were my front and rear brakes were warped and needed replaced. I got the brakes fixed. On 7/19/04. I went to have my vehicle serviced and I had my brakes inspected once again. The service technician stated that my brakes were "shot!!" my pads are at 20% and my rotors need replaces. I feel this is very excessive regarding the replacement of brakes within 2 1/2 years of owning this vehicle. I feel its a serious safety issue and needs to be looked into. I am very nervous for my safety when driving this vehicle, because it seems the brakes are going out in a short amount of time.
