Blazer

  • Automatic transmission

At first it was the passenger side...everyone knew it was whoever rode co-captian, it was their job to slam the door REALLY hard to get it to shut. But still, it feels open. While I'm driving you feel the wind and if it rains, it seeps in...ghetto... Now, it's happened to my driver's side door (and the power lock doesn't work...) anddd! my left side back door...just waiting for the right side back door to join the club knocks on wood not really. I say this in all my complaints...my car is so dang ghetto.

I want to fix this and I've been told its fairly straight forward. Has anyone out there done this themselves?

Now I see the drivers door is saggy. This is another common problem with Blazers. The cost is not bad provided you are handy. You will need a door spring compressor from US General for about $15.(order from Harbor Freight Tools). Log- on to bodyshopzone.com for complete step-by-step instructions. Most Auto.parts stores carry the bushings and pins in the HELP section for about $12 a door. Takes about an hour a door to repair.

Very irritating. Door won't close properly and often swings open on the road when driving. $500 to fix? Come on. Now looking for a less expensive place than the Chevy dealer.
