problem #1

Camaro LT 3.2L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 20,300 miles

Suddenly one day I started seeing the warning that the passenger airbag is "Off" and warning sign appeared on card dashboard.

When I did research on internet, it seems like its a common problem with most of the Chevy Camaros from 2010 - 2012 and apparently there is some lawsuit also against Chevy about the same. My car is off warranty and as per the initial investigation on car forums, its going to cost me hundreds of dollars to get the airbag sensor replaced.

This is really bad. If the car was involved in some crash or something, I would have understood but critical functionality like airbag sensors failing which could cause someone to lose their life during an accident should be taken very seriously by a company like Chevrolet.
