Camaro 1LT RS 3.6L V6

Just trying to see why my radio does not dim after backing up at night. When i start it and pull forward it will dim and everything is fine. If i back up it will stay bright until the vehicle is shut off for hours. What is the fix for this since my dealer has stated they will not touch it.
