problem #2

Jan 052004

Cavalier 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 135,000 miles
Rear tail/brake light sockets failed, causing rear brake lights and turn signal indicators to malfunction. Upon inspection, I found bad electrical corrosion inside the bulb sockets, preventing a proper electrical contact. I was able to fix the left side by cleaning the electrical contacts, while the right side is unrepairable. Malfunction of both rear brake/turn signals is a major safety hazard.
