Among other issues this latest one is really a pain in the ass not to mention possibly draining a new battery. It all started with the dome light not coming on when the door is opened. So much for that safety feature!!! After shutting off the ignition and opening the door I noticed that the radio/clock did not shut off. I left the door open for a few minutes and it still did not shut off. I've already had to replace the original battery as it just decided not to start one day, didn't even give a hint that is was on it's last legs.

All I can say is after 3 other cavaliers, it's a good thing that they have been retired as they have been progressively getting worse. This one has been the biggest lemon of the 4 that I have owned.

Update from Jan 19, 2010: An update for anyone else that maybe experiencing this issue, I have called the dealership where I purchased the car and "apparently" there is a sensor in the driver's side door that will cause this. They could not give me a reason as to why any of the other 3 doors would not shut the radio off either. As for price to fix, I have to bring the car in so they can take a look at it. This will not be happening without a written quote, but first I definitely have to start saving.
