Went to Canadian tire with temperature gauge going into the red zone and told them about the needle not going back to zero . they did a power flush and fill /replaced thermostat.cost $323. Same day now needle is going past red zone. What the hay is this ? C.T. now put car on scope and says computer/ electrical is gone and must go to dealer to fix. Went to dealer show work done by Canadian tire and recommendations. guess what Gm dealer does same work as CT. (flush and fill/replace thermostat) cost $540. What the? Needle still goes to red zone as before but dealer blames C.T. for installing the thermostat wrong and no antifreeze just water. I did tell the dealer that C.T. had to order the thermostat from them and their antifreeze was clear. The Hair on my back is staring to stand up now. Dealer now puts on scope and says I must replace the cluster what ever that is. cost $540.Cluster has been replaced. car temperature gauge is reading normally now . I asked the dealer to reimburse me for the same work that C.T. but they would not because they said that they had to fix the problem that CT had created .What a bunch of hoooeee. Mechanics make mistakes diagnosing problems I understand this but the customer should not have to pay for their errors
