I noticed one day when I turned it off that I popped the clutch. I couldn't figure out how that happened when it was off. Then I noticed the next time when I turned it off the keys were in my hand and the engine was still running. The power steering light came on also. It then wouldn't start so I bought a new battery. The next day it wouldn't start again so I jumped started it and took it to my mechanic. They couldn't even get it to jump start. When they finally got it started they did do the diagnostic test on it and told me that it had "MAJOR COMMUNICATIONS PROBLEMS" going on with it. They called GM and they told them that it sounded like the starter switch went bad so it was replaced costing $215. They gave me a break on labor know my financial situations. This did not fix the problem. Estimate to try to see if its a module is starting at $700. Thats just to start. If it is more than one module it would be $300 to $400 for each module. I am allowing it to be repossessed. I can not afford this kind of problems. My mechanic told me he could figure out what the problem is with it or tell me where to begin with it. He would get rid of it. Everyone I have talked to about this has never heard of a car that will not turn off when the keys are not in it.
