Cobalt LS 4.2L 4 Cllander

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

The horn goes off a lot when you open the doors, such as an alarm, loud very. I would not mind except my keyless remote I bought new does not work. Paid out money for nothing.

(reported on)

Cobalt LT 2.1L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Ever since we bought this car, the horn has gone off at random times. It's not the alarm, its like someone is pressing and holding the horn down. There is no common circumstance that causes it. It could be summer, or winter. It could be wet or dry. It could be driving, idling, or parked. It happens when outside and in the garage. It is completely random. Sometimes it goes many months without doing it, only to do it 6 times in one trip. It has been to 2 different dealerships (still under warranty) and no one can figure out what is wrong. Of course, they have not replaced anything to see if a switch is bad or something. The most they have done is upgraded the computer firmware.
