Cobalt 4-cyl

  • 59,900 miles
The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt. While parked, the contact activated the windshield defroster, but it would not emit sufficient air to the windshield. The vehicle was taken to dealer for diagnostics where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure because the defroster was functioning intermittently when it was inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 59,900. Updated 02/01/12

My back window in my car blew out for no reason at all. On both sides where the heat sensors are the glass is completely gone. The day this happened I had my defroster on and this is when it happened. I immediately called the dealership where I bought the vehicle and was told it wasn't there problem since I had over 10,000 miles on my car. I explained to them how it happened and still no positive response. I called the police and he found no signs of foul play and said to me it looked like a defective window my concern is that if it happens again with kids in the back seat someone can get hurt. I have pictures to show where the glass is completely gone from both sides where the heat sensors are.
