Fuel lines are rusted and could be a fire hazard. Common in these vehicles. Should be a recall on these parts.

Multiple recall failures: 2009 Chevy Cobalt lt ignition switch failure, airbags failure to deploy, power steering failure, brake failure, gear box failure. Ignition switch failure cause vehicle to stall, vehicle was then hit in rear by 16 wheel tractor trailer, thus causing driver to be knocked in the back sit of vehicle, injury to head, to inside of mouth, braking of teeth on both sides of mouth, neck injury, right and left shoulder injury, back injury, and never damage to right shoulder plate, driver is in continuous pain since this accident approx 11 months. Driver still in possession of vehicle because he is totaled disable, and does not know what to do about what correct measures to take. Nationwide insurance declared vehicle a totaled loss, request driver to give them power of attorney rights to pay off current lien holder. Owner felted uneased to do so, therefore has continuously paid on vehicle for 11 months and has been unable to drive vehicle. I need help, I once worked for region iv ntsb Agency here in atlanta I have never felt so victimized in my life by GM and nationwide. I really need direction and have sought legal. But GM compensation program will not communicate with consumers lawyer per protocols for compensatory damages.

I was trying to turn my car on and I kept hearing a clicking noise. The car would not start no matter how many times I tried to restart it. I waited another five minutes it started and as I went to put the car in reverse it shut off again. I put the gear back into parking and then tried to restart the car, everytime it turned on it would shut off as I put the gear into reverse. So as I turned the car on again I went forwards to turn outward from the parking stall around the cement block but then the car shut off again and I hit the cement block which left a dent on the right side of my car. When driving to work it shut off in the middle of the road on my way to work. I pushed the gas pedal and nothing happened and then it just shut off. I took the car in to get serviced by the dealership, I paid for a vehicle inspection. The next day I went to school and my car would not start I was stuck in a parking stall again. I called the dealership and they said to bring the car in, I told them it was not running and it needed to be towed by them because I had just taken it in. They towed it and kept the car. The next day I called and they had not gotten to it. Then the third day I called and they still did not get to my car. Finally on the fourth day I explained to them that I had a rental and was paying out of pocket. They then told me it had to do with the clutch and that I had to replace it. So I did, I have the receipts. A few days later, it happened again. I tried replacing the battery. It happened again, I went back to the dealership and they said it was faulty wiring all along and that the wires leading to the power of the car were loose and rubbing against the ignition causing the car to turn off and they said they fixed it. Months later the car shut off again. I spent a lot and have all receipts and exact dates, I have since stopped driving car.

My taillight assembly is 1/3 filled with water, due to a broken seal (which is allowing water to enter). Due to the broken seal, the water damaged the entire L/R taillight assembly, rear turn signal (drivers rear), the lamps, bulbs, flasher, and switch. Several mechanics said that the broken seal in my 2009 Chevy Cobalt, appears to be a Chevrolet manufacturer's defect.

Water from HVAC system leaks to the interior of the car when air conditioner is running. I've had the vehicle back to the dealer twice since purchased in 2009. Once in June of 2010 and again in June of 2011. Both times I was told the problem was corrected. After the second time it was repaired the leak appeared again within three miles of driving. When I spoke to customer service I was told it is not a warranty issue or a design flaw but a mere blockage of the drain tube which is normal for any vehicle with air conditioning times I was told there was debris present in the drain and that it had been cleared.
