ABS module failed with 33K miles in 02 Corvette there are many other who have had same problem but with brakes that lock up without touching the pedal. 18 pages of people on corvetteforum.com with ebcm (electronic brake control module) that also shuts off traction control. Parts failing on a range of model year Corvettes.

ABS service light goes on. ABS system failure. Results in disabling of ABS, traction control and active handling. Has happened 4 times. Chevy had initially advised shutting off car and restarting: It gets rid of code and car will function normally. If the random event occurs during emergency situation it can result in loss of control of car, I.e., that brakes can lock.
