problem #2

Corvette 6.0L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,220 miles

The car has always been garaged and covered. I have read that this has occurred in quite a few 2007 corvettes. There is a piece made of plastic in the shiftier mechanism that breaks and jams up so the car will not go in reverse, park or shift mode. For a car that should be Chevrolet's best, I would expect a lot more out of it. I have bought this vehicle new and still have it, but a part that should not cost more than a dollar to replace, what a total rip off. This problem should have been a lemon law and or recall. If one would be out on a trip and this happened, who knows what could the results be, like causing a bad accident.

Chevrolet should fix this problem for free and or repay those who has had to fix this problem.

Corvette Coupe Ls2

  • Automatic transmission
  • 26,560 miles

I have a 2007 Corvette with 26,500 miles, the shifter (automatic) sticks in Park. I start the car and try to shift out of Par and the shifter sticks in Park. I try several times to shift out of Park and finally it will release and shift. This happens at different times and I had to replace the shifter for $780.00.
