the smell of leaking fuel is nearly unbearable in the cabin
I thought that the fuel smell in the car was the result of me over filling the gas tank when I topped it off. I started filling it to only 3/4 full. The smell of leaking fuel continued. I have limited myself to slightly more than a half tank of gas on each fill-up. This does not consistently solve the problem. I took it to a mechanic who told that it is a problem with the fuel pump that most C6 Corvettes have. It is a nuance that most people just get used to. Even though I never see any leaks on the floor of my garage, the smell of raw gasoline is coming from somewhere, and it is obviously dangerous. I cannot get used to it.
