The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. While the vehicle was idling at a complete stop and upon pulling into the driveway, the contact applied the accelerator pedal, but it suddenly fractured. The failure caused the contact to slightly bump into the rear of the preceding vehicle. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The contact attempted to reverse the vehicle, but the accelerator pedal was completely fractured. The insurance company towed the vehicle to the dealer and were awaiting instructions from the manufacturer to repair the vehicle. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.
