January 2018 my car was purchased. In February, the back passenger door on the driver's side started saying the door was open and would continually ding. My dad contacted the dealership it was purchased at and the paid for the repairs at another dealership in my home state. The problem was fixed, I thought! In September, the problem came back! I have moved to another state for my job and I not for sure if this is covered to be repaired again without having to pay for those repairs, for which I can't afford. They say it's in the sensor of the door, but I don't know. The dealership told my dad that all I needed to do was to take a hose and clean the sensor area. It didn't work.

I read where sometimes you need to grease the latch and it will stop, for which it did for a few days. If I try to lock my doors, it will set of my alarm on the car. Then I have to deal with my screen stating there was a theft attempted every time I start my car. I live in a city, and I'm afraid someone might actually break into my car or steal it. My insurance will not cover if anything is messed with because I have to leave my car unlocked. The door constantly dings as I'm driving, including in reverse. I have to turn my music up to avoid the dinging! I really need help with issue and is there a recall because I've read forums on others having the same problem. Please help, even if there is a way to disconnect the sensor for the door. Thank you!
