Cruze LTZ 1.4L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

Took to dealer to check for MPG and Steering binding at highway speeds ...Said nothing wrong...I "m a Master automotive tec . and know when there is a prob....,told by there tec. that he could not get it to do it ,I

know what that's like ...hard to find when not doing it when being looked at....after being on lift and driven

from dealer with no fix problem went away for about 2 weeks ? WTH...Tec also told me that the steering system in this car ran power steering at low speeds but on highway speeds worked as a manual system..

I have found that it does it more with someone in the passenger seat...and not as much around turns ....

I haven't had a chance to check yet but I think could be a bad strut bearing issue...when on the lift at dealers bearings are onloaded... and may have made the difference for those 2 weeks ...just a thought...This is a bad problem ...not safe...should be resolved !

Cruze ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 11,000 miles

When driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel tugs at your hands as if it is trying to steer the car. It has just started happening. When I took it to the dealer, he advised me to wait a while, since he had another one at the dealership with the same problem and they will find out the cause first. It concerns me that it is a safety issue and wasn't documented.
