I purchased a 2013 Chevy Cruze on September 28th 2017 and about a month later + or - was the first time the Car locked my steering wheel with the key in it. It would not let me remove my key or it would not turn the ignition to start the car, it was locked up tight. It took a long time and multiple times wiggling the steering wheel and ignition switch but finally It freed itself up after that I was nervous that it would happen again. I almost gave up and called a tow truck. It happened once again about a few weeks ago. I am making all these notes to see if others have similar problems and see if anything may be connected or a recall as I have other complaints on this vehicle posted here.

Update from Nov 22, 2019: I found out from the dealership that this key has nooks that get crud in and stops the key from going in all the way it needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Sometimes it will fix the problems other times it may need to be cleaned out inside the cylinder as well. This did help this problem and I was able to finally turn the key but I had to clean the key thoroughly and push it in firmly it worked.
