problem #1

Cruze LT 1.4t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

Bought the car for fuel savings and for (was hoping for) reliability. Only one of those are happening though. I bought the vehicle from Berger Chevy in Grand Rapids, MI with 18k miles. Not even a day after purchasing the vehicle issues started to arise. I've had a clunk from something, don't know what... I've replaced the shock 2x and checked the shock and boot for moment and there is none. Checked all panels to see if they were the cause. Nothing... I had a Jeep before this with original suspension and 80k miles with less noise than this POS.

I have many other issues and noises starting. I just rolled over 30k and my transmission is starting to flare and brakes are randomly clunking (yes clunking). I've almost been in several accidents because of the transmission and turbo lag as well. This car will probably cause my first accident. Not to mention, this car has made me go sideways down a road at 50 mph because of a light dusting of snow with like new tires a week after owning it too.

Update from May 7, 2019: Finally after 65,000 miles and far out of warranty, the dealer took my complaint and fix to the problem to heart. The problem was a set of leaking shocks and loose shock boots in the rear of the car.
