Cruze LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

THIS CAR IS A PIECE OF CR**!!! IT'S BEEN NOTHING BUT HEADACHES & $$$$ FROM THE FIRST YEAR WE BOUGHT IT AT CAPITOL GMC IN AUTOMALL! THEY SOLD THE CAR KNOWING THAT THE WRONG SIZE BATTERY WAS PUT IN IT AND THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE THAT THEY ACKNOWLEDGE WAS AN ISSUE, BUT WOULD NOT PUT THAT IN WRITING!

(FIRST CLUE IT WAS DONE PURPOSELY BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WAS DECEPTIVE) THE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE PERIODICALLY BUT WE WERE TOLD TO WAIT FOR THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF AND THEY WOULD FIX THE SHAKING ENGINE. NEVER DONE. AS I SAID THEY WOULDN'T PUT IT IN WRITING SO WHEN THE STAFF MEMBER THAT SAID JUST BRING IT IN WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WHEN ON DIDN'T WORK THERE ANYMORE AND THEY WOULDN'T HONOR THE FIX BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE IT IN WRITING! ANYONE SEE WHAT JUST HAPPENED!? THIS CAR IS OUT AND OUT A LEMON. A TRUE BLUE LEMON. WE HAVE PUT THOUSNDS OF DOLLARS FIXING REPAIR AFTER REPAIR AFTER REPAIR FROM THE FIRST YEAR WE BOUGHT IT FOR MY DAUGHTER UNTIL TODAY WHERE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS BROKEN, WE'VE HAD TO FIX THE PASSENGER WINDOW 2 TIMES ALREADY BECUASE IT WAS STUCK OPEN AND IT'S STILL MAKING NOISE, WE'VE HAD TO REPAIR LEAKS IN THE ANTIFREEZE RESEVOIR, HOSES, AND VARIOUS OTHER LOCATIONS WHICH I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER.

THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON SO IT WON'T PASS SMOG UNTIL WE SPEND THOUSANDS MORE ON REPLACING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE CAR HAS AN ISSUE WITH MOVING WHEN YOU HIT THE GAS. YOU CAN FLOOR IT AND IT'S BARELY MOVING. THE DASHBOARD MESSAGES ARE GOING CRAZING THERE'S SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS CAR I CAN'T EVEN CONTINUE CAUSE I'M SO TICKED. WAY TO GO CHEVROLET. AND YOU WONDER WHY NO ONE WANTS TO BUY AN AMERICAN CAR!! AND NO WE DON'T QUALIFY FOR THE CATALYTIC REPLACEMENT PROGRAM BECAUSE THEY BASE IT ON GROSS INCOME NOT NET AND WE CAN'T AFFORD IT. LET'S NOT FORGET THE TIRE PRESSURE GOES DOWN EVERY OTHER WEEK EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN WORKED ON. ALSO IT BURNS OIL LIKE A BAD COOK!! I MEAN HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH SELLING THESE CARS TO CONSUMERS THAT BELIEVE THESE DEALERSHIPS WITH STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS BUT ABSOLUTELY DON'T? HOW!? HOW ARE THESE CAR MANUFACTURERS NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW!!?

AND NOW THAT WE'VE BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WE WILL BE UNABLE TO SUE FOR BEING A LEMON BECAUSE NOW THEY'LL ATTRIBUTE ALL THESE ISSUES TO AN ACCIDENT WHICH HAPPENED WAY AFTER ALL OF THESE CAR PROBLEMS THE LAST 8 YEARS. DO I FEEL BETTER VENTING NO, BECAUSE I STILL HAVE THIS CAR. THANKS FOR GIVING ME A PLATFORM TO AT LEAST LET SOMEONE ELSE WHO BOUGHT THIS CAR WHAT THEY'RE IN FOR.

Cruze

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,000 miles

This morning the AC OFF engine at High Temperature light came on and the temp gauge went up. After a few seconds it went off. It did this my whole ride to work and when I parked my car the fan was still running very loud. I heard it while I was walking away. This has never happened. I called about the Warranty to see if would be covered and I was told it may be covered, but I have to take it to the dealer. It cost about $100 an hour for them to run a diagnostic on it and if it is covered I won't have to pay but if it isn't, I have to pay JUST FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT. Never in my life have I had to deal with this.

Cruze LTZ 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

First of all I never had any problems with Chevy trucks. I have 3 three chevy trucks. One is a has well over 200,000 mi;es and no problems. But this Chevy Cruze engine light is one week and off the next week. The stabilizer light will come on and it will go off and next the belt makes some kind of noise, the steering light will come one and go off after 75 miles and you shut the engine off. There is oil on the cover of the where the oil change stick is. I love the car but there is a computer problem and all these things started happening right after the 30,000 miles warranty.

Cruze LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,800 miles

At 5000 miles the low brake fluid light, service stabilitrak light, and assorted other dash lights come on. Go off for about a week, and back on again. Brake fluid is not low, so I'm hoping it's just a sensor. Still, to have a nearly brand new car back in the shop just after it's first oil change is disheartening. It also makes me second guess my choice of a GM vehicle after separating with my '99 Saturn SW2 that made it to 261,000 K with only minor issues.
