Cruze HAtch LT 1.4L Turbo Fire

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

After 30,000 miles of jumping and sputtering for my car, my daughter's Trax did the same at 55000 miles. STABILTRAC light was on. They found both cars to have cracked pistons and engines had to be replaced. My car at 48,000 now has fuel shooting out of the side of the engine from an ACTUAL DESIGN FLAW in the high pressure relief valve. I arrived to work one morning with no issues on the way in. I later went out to move the car and had the starter continue trying to start for 5 -8 seconds then smelled like it was flooded like an DAMN old clunker geo I had way back.

I drove about 5 miles at barely 35 and used nearly an 1/8th tank of gas. I stopped to find entire car's underside covered in gas. I saw a 1/4" stream of gas squirting out of the side of the engine ALL OVER. This is an INSANE FIRE HAZARD. I will be ending my ownership of ANY Chevrolet Products upon repairs and trade in. If my daughter's car does this and causes her to be stranded or even worse, BURNED TO F** DEATH... GM will Learn what kind of person I can be.

The People who were involved in this design should be sent to HELL. Who puts a "Pop Off" Fuel Relief Valve so that it dumps gasoline on top of electrical components, Exhaust Systems, Belts Ignition Sensors and entire engine compartment. IDIOTS IDIOTS IDIOTS with NO REGARD for ANYTHING but their PAYCHECKS.
