problem #3

Jun 242016

Equinox LT 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 193,000 miles

Ever since owning this car when ever I brake from about 60+ MPH the whole front end and steering wheel shakes. I Replaced the tie rod ends, struts, ball joints, sway bar links, brakes, tires and had it aligned. The shake is still there, not as bad as it was but still there. This is something GM has never bothered to recall. Obviously there is a flaw in the suspension design of the 2005 Equinox.

Equinox LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 170,000 miles

I have had the struts & sway bar links repalced twice now in a year & the rattle & shake won't go away! No one can seem to find the problem. The struts definitely went bad from the prolem both times.

I had an aweful rattle & shake from the front left. The struts, sway bars links, etc were replaced in 2010. The noise & rattle didnt go away.
