I bought this beautiful 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, thinking I had a pretty good buy. It runs great, shifts great, but damn it all, after owning for just a month the dash lights went out. I thought it would be a simple fix, but no, it's turned into a nightmare.
I took it to the Chevrolet garage, paid $95 bucks to get the diagnosis, which they said that it blew a 10 amp fuse. No problem, except that DIDN'T fix the problem. Here goes:
The headlights work, the break lights work, the signals work perfect. Only problem is, the tail lights don't work, and the license plate light it out also, so at night, it's totally black in the back of the car. I can replace the 10 fuse for the tail lights, and it will work for about two blocks, then blows the fuse. The garage has had the car and worked on it twice, and can't figure out what's wrong with the thing. What a POS. I'll NEVER, not in this lifetime, ever, buy another Chevrolet.
We now have bought an old beater to drive, and we only drive the Equinox in the daytime. What fun!
