The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving 15 mph, she noticed that the brakes were pulsating abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that the front hubs would need replacing. The vehicle was repaired but the pulsation continued. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that there was nothing they could do to assist. The failure mileage was 120,000 and the current mileage was 121,000. Updated 8/24/12 the consumer stated the pulsating continued. It was finally determined that the wiring in the ABS was the cause of the problem. Updated 09/10/12

Equinox

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The antilock brakes failed indicating that the sensor was corroded and began to make a grinding sound when coming to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the ABS and hub sensor. The manufacturer was notified and informed her that there was no related recall and that the vehicle could be repaired under the warranty after she paid the deductible. The failure and current mileages were 55,000.
