This car sucks ass. 58k heater core went, 70k the temp started rising and saw white smoke out of exhaust. Dumped some bars leak in the coolant and begged my father to trade it in. Mother drives it 3 miles to work and that's it. The Equinox sucks

intake head gaskets failed intake head gaskets failed

Here are a few pics of my 06 with 88,800 kms Equinox. The warranty ended at 80,000 kms and GM offered no help with the $2000 plus repair. I fixed myself for $800 including having the heads reconditioned as they where a bit warped. Look at the etching on the block surface...am reading some bad things about Dex-cool coolant on the net. Also look at the sludge under the intake manifold. GM had a problem with this up until 2003 and they are still using the same design plastic intake manifold gaskets. The replacement Fel-Pro gaskets are metal backed.
