When I go to work, I listen to my radio/CD. When I get back in my car after 8 hours, the radio screen is blank, no clock, no temp gauge, no date, nothing at all. However, my radio is still playing but I can't turn the volume up or down. When I turn the volume knob, nothing happens. The only way to get everything back is to turn off the radio power button and turn it back on again.

I tried to ride around without turning if off/on it to see if it would fix itself, but it wont do anything until you turn it off and back on. It seemed to do it on hot days at first but now it has started doing it overnight when it's cool. The problem seems to be getting more frequent. When it hit 100,000 miles, it's like a switch was flipped and everything started going wrong with this car.

On June Thursday June 5th while driving on the highway the control panel on my 2010 Chevy Equinox went completely blank on me. It was around 845 pm so it was very difficult to see!! I managed to pull over to a shoulder and then my car completely shut down. I am posting another comment regarding that problem after this.

After researching the internet for this problem, loads of postings popped up from other Chevy Equinox owners that are experiencing the same problem. For quite some time, since about winter, the panel on my radio has been flickering, the lights on my control panel flicker, my radio has static when I plug in my car charger and my defroster does not work properly. I called GM Executive offices and have gotten nowhere. I have been assigned a case manager, Latoya, who I have waited countless times to return my calls and hasn't done so. I contacted Englewood Auto Group, which is the location that I was suggested to by GM offices to bring my vehicle to and all they can tell me is that there's only a problem with the dimmer! I have spoken to the managers there and the best advice that they can give me is that I bring the vehicle back to the place that I purchased it which is in Union NJ.

There is an electrical problem with my vehicle and they are refusing to address it. Anyone else experiencing the same problems with this vehicle, GM, etc...?? I also have a problem with my car stalling. Based on my research it's due to oil consumption and they are failing to address that as well. I will create a separate posting listing all of the specifics for this issue as well. Please, any help would be appreciated! Contact me via email (iflo1022@gmail.com) or post comments here. Thank you!
