I new Equinox has the paint coming off the hood of my car in about 30 different spots. It looks horrible. I cannot believe I got a brand new car and it has to be repainted. They have not decided if they will cover under warranty or if I have to pay a deductible and go through my insurance. There is a factory defect with the paint job, and I think something needs to be done about it. I also think I should be given the option as if I want a new car or a repainted one.

My stepdaughter, Kourtney, bought this car all on her own. She has taken very good care of it. It should NOT be chipping paint like this on her hood. The rest of our vehicles are NOT doing this and have been exposed to the same elements, Alabama sun. I think there should be a recall on this. All she asked for for Christmas was for us to paint the hood of her car. I think Chevrolet should pay for this, but I saw no recalls. Research told me there are many Chevy vehicles having the same issues. Grrrrrrr...
