The contact was an independent mechanic who stated that the windshield wiper motor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V582000 (visibility); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Parts distribution disconnect. Updated 1/23/2017 updated 7/6/18 the consumer stated its the wiper transmission.
