Update from Dec 8, 2018: To whom it may concern.

My concerns starts with GM. We purchased a new 2018 Equinox LT in July of this year. Starting at 6700 miles we have had 9 repair visits. 1st a bad intercooler was replaced for check engine light. 2nd visit for sputtering and lost throttle response. They couldn't duplicate problem and yet they charged me $20 for gas for them to test drive. 3rd visit got us a new ECM for multiple check engine lights. The Saturday after 3rd repair was a return check engine light. Took to dealership for 4th visit and laptop was hooked up and they said bad Mass AirFlow Sensor. They ordered one and sent me down the road with malfunctioning vehicle. Finally, 4 days later they call for me to bring in for Mass AirFlow Sensor replacement which is 5th visit. While I sat in lobby 2 hrs waiting which was repair visit number 5 and repair ticket number 4. Few days later, wife got check engine light at 11PM with daughter. Scared to death and came home crying because of this vehicle. That was Friday October 26th. Saturday October 27th took to Rusty Wallace Chevrolet Service Dept for 6th time, 5th repair ticket and they kept until Monday November 12th. Replaced some kind of air temp sensor. Field Rep has been involved, Engineer from Detroit has been involved and yet for some reason we are still driving this vehicle. 4 days later, November 16th check engine light came on Again. Took to service for 7th repair visit. The following Tuesday I went and talked with Ron Manning the service manager, he had me take vehicle and drive until light returned and to bring back without shutting vehicle off. November 23rd I returned to Rusty Wallace Chevrolet service for 8 repair visit with check engine light and they found codes for a Exhaust Camshaft Actuator Solenoid Valve. They ordered parts, November 27th I picked Equinox up and left with repair ticket number 6. December 5th 2018 at 9PM check engine light came on once Again. Returned to Rusty Wallace Chevrolet service December 6th and Ron Manning & myself drove Equinox with check engine light and Engine Power Is Reduced light on. While Ron was driving the power came back. Returned to service and lead tech Rich hooked up and found codes for air/intake temp sensor and Exhaust Camshaft Actuator Solenoid Valve AGAIN. Rich wrote down codes to call GM engineers, cleared codes and I left in Equinox with repair ticket #7. As far as Rusty Wallace Chevrolet Service Dept, good job. As far as the Internet Manager John and General Manager of Rusty Wallace Chevrolet, they suck and I will never do business with them again. Not even as much of a phone call from either of them to apologize or see if everything is ok, NOTHING. I had a wonderful Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon Edition I traded in for this junk Equinox and don't even feel safe driving it. Very unreliable. 9 repair visits and 7 repair tickets, and out of service for over 40 days because of being in the service department. Vehicle has had intercooler replaced, ECM replaced, Mass AirFlow Sensor, Air/Intake Temp Sensor, Camshaft Actuator Solenoid Valve, and still getting check engine lights. Just made the 3rd payment. We are just amazed of how unsupportive GM really is. The money GM makes from people in the real world and they can't have a reliable vehicle. All I can say is wow, and never again will myself or any family member purchase a GM product nor will we purchase from any Rusty Wallace dealership. Sorry if this sounds rude, but put yourself in my shoes. Purchase a new vehicle, have for 4 months and have 7 repair orders looking at you in the face. How would you feel?

Is anything getting done? Well not as of today. I know when we drive this vehicle and it breaks down while on highway or any roadway and someone gets injured because of this, it's not going to be pretty at all.
