problem #2

Dec 102019

Equinox LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 43,000 miles

Okay, so this is the fourth time my 2018 Equinox has been in the shop since I bought it last December. After all the trouble I had with the vehicle, they replaced the O2 sensor in April and then took it back to the shop (the third time) because even trying to go uphill is ridiculous. Driving on the highway it seems fine, but once it gears down, it does not like to gear back up. On my way to work yesterday (12-10-19), all the lights come on, the vehicle starts to shake terribly, and I get an alert on OnStar saying there is an issue with the emissions system (AGAIN....remember they just put in a "new" O2 sensor in April).

So I wait patiently on the side of the road for a tow truck. I seriously regret buying this vehicle! I'm thinking very hard about buying a Toyota! I'm so over this vehicle and its issues. And it only seems to happen when it's cold. What is the deal!?!?! And I'm sure it isn't covered under the warranty.

Please tell me I'm not the only one having these issues and I'm not crazy. After the last time when they couldn't find a problem, they told me it was just because it was a new vehicle and I just needed to get used to driving it. WTF kind of answer is that???? Would this be covered under the lemon law? I've put approximately 30k miles on it.

The car does not shift into 6th gear when it is below 30°. Anyone else have this same type of problem?
