I am a hospice nurse and I use my car for my job a lot, I was on my way home on the interstate, started to feel a little hesitation so I got off at the exit, as I got off the exit the check engine light came on and on the screen it came up decreased power mode. I pulled into the giant Eagle parking lot right there off the exit and my car shut off and would not start again. Called OnStar - they got a hold of a tow company and six hours later my car was finally picked up to take it to the Chevy dealership. Chevy Chevy dealership told me that I had no oil in my car that it was all dried up and it will take seven hours to tear it down to see exactly what has been affected at $130 an hour labor and that’s just to see what Damage was done.

The dealership estimate up to $5000 and possibly a new engine but I won’t know that until next week, so I am stuck without a car now and my warranty is past the mileage so this is out of pocket. My check engine light never came on until I pulled off the road and was pulling into the parking lot because of feeling the hesitation, never once did my oil light come on, I was aware that I was past due for an oil change but never did I think that a brand new car would be using oil like that. There was never a leak of oil in my driveway, for this to happen to a car that is only a year old it’s just ridiculous and I will never buy a Chevy again ever. This was my first and my last!
