: the contact stated the airbag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealership who determined the airbag module needs to be replaced. However the airbag would deploy without a new airbag module.

Rain water leaking in underneath dash into passenger floor board somehow shorting out the airbag system. Have heard of other Impala having same problem. Has been a continuos problem since a couple months after purchase from dealer. Asked dealer about this problem and they want to charge lots of money to "leak test" it but denied any kind of factory defect or design flaw. Have searched internet and found quite a few other poeple with same car having similar problems. Havent had money to correct problem.

Air bag sensor light continiously comes on and off. Has had the sensor reset when I purchased the vehicle and approx. 2 weeks after the sensor light for air bag was reset it started coming on again. The dealership charged $300 to reset the light. I cannot afford to pay such an excessive fee continuously.
