Just bought this (used) car off the lot at a Chevy dealer here in Sacramento. Love the ride, man, but the clunking & popping when turning is driving me nuts. I purchased a 2-year extended warranty on the vehicle, but of course, the service dept. says that the steering shaft issue isn't covered by the warranty.

What's worse, the sales manager's promises about how I "have 30 days to bring it back in, for any reason" seem to be hollow, because they want $290 to fix the issue.

The clunking won't hurt anything. When you've saved up enough and got annoyed enough, either lube or replace the ISS (intermediate steering shaft).
