Electric window works when it is convenient for it. If is raining, and I'm at a drive thru somewhere, it isn't convenient for it to go up. So we get the interior door switches wet also- probably adding new electrical problem.

auto dimming mirror, and mirror map lights don't work half the time. i have to jiggle the wires and connection going into the back of the rear view mirror, could be the solder points on the circut board in the mirror, or just broken wires. car has to many problems popping up, no more Chevy's for me, not my first, but is my last.

Impala 3.4L

It started out being my power windows. They would occasionally act like they were losing power. They would work, then they wouldn't. I learned to just be patient. I noticed that if I kept playing with them, the power would come back and I could move the mirrors. At the time I didn't know if it was an electrical problem or if the motion pad itself was going out. I then started having trouble with my power windows. They would start to roll down and stop, or they would roll all the way down and then when I wanted to roll them up, they wouldn't. It really got to be a problem at drive thru windows and at the bank. I got so annoyed with it that I troubleshooted the problem online and after reading multiple complaints, one seemed very reasonable. It stated that the wire cluster feeding the driver door had a very short ground wire. It suggested pulling the black rubber wire protector thing back and inspecting the wires. Sure enough, after multiple, detailed checks, I found a black wire that had snapped in two. I found a wire connector piece in my husband's tool box and pieced the wire back together. Problem solved. It's been two months and I haven't had a problem. I'm sure it'll happen again with all the opening and shutting of the door, but now that I know the signs ... it's an all too easy fix! I'm very happy with my Impala.
