Impala LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,000 miles

I bought a 2007 Chevy Imapla in september of 2009, since then i have had to change the front wheel tires over six times due to uneven wear on the outside of tires. brand new tires are lasting approx 6months before there is no thread on the outer aspect. I have taken to dealership as well as side shops to fix the problem or lack there of.. tires aligned, rotated balanced, to no avail.... don't know what else to do. anyone else have a suggestion other than get a new car? seems like that is my only solution since there is no recall regarding this...

Impala LTZ 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,032 miles

ITires should not wear out at 18,000 miles. We understand there have been other people with this problem on this type of car, and GM will not acknowledge a rear suspension problem. This should not happen!

Impala LS 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

The inside of my original equipment tires wore out by 30,000 miles; tires were rated at 50,000 miles. Repair shop said that although I had kept proper air in them and roatated at correct intervals, car was obviously never aligned at factory. Cost: new set of tires and an alignment, $500

Impala SS 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,117 miles

The inside of both back tires completely wore down to the wearbars, while the remaining tire had lots of tread left. Dealer had to grind the struts to oblong the holes in order to perform a four wheel alignment. Had to replace the tires ($300 each) too.

Impala LT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

We took it to a tire place and it was told to us that the tires were wearing on the front inner sides and outer sides and the center of the tire looked new. The tires were not handling very good in wet conditions..At first we heard a loud noise in the front of the vehicle . We have had. many new vehicles and we get about 60,000 to 70,000 miles on tires. We are older adults and go the speed limit or slower, with the cruise on. There are no young people driving our cars!! This car I cannot get 30,000 miles on it and where is the front end recall on them!!!!! . How can chevy fix things when there own techs don't know about there own product. WE have kept the tires properly inflated according to the automatic tire pressure registered by the car and we have had the tires properly rotated.
